Overview
Oracle Fusion Finance Data Migration Lead to support large-scale Oracle Fusion Cloud transformation and implementation initiatives. This role is responsible for leading end-to-end data migration activities across Oracle Finance Cloud modules while ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and successful transition from legacy systems to Oracle Fusion Cloud environments.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Oracle Finance data migration methodologies, data conversion strategies, reconciliation processes, and integration support within complex enterprise transformation programs. The role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, functional consultants, technical teams, and project leadership to ensure successful execution of migration activities throughout the implementation lifecycle.
This position also involves ownership of migration planning, data validation, mock migration cycles, cutover activities, and coordination across cross-functional and global delivery teams to support successful project outcomes.
Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end data migration activities for Oracle Fusion Finance Cloud implementations.
Develop and execute comprehensive data migration strategies to support smooth transition from legacy systems to Oracle Fusion Cloud.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather migration requirements, identify source systems, and define data transformation and mapping rules.
Support finance data migration activities across modules including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), Cash Management (CE), and Fixed Assets (FA).
Perform legacy data assessment, data cleansing, source-to-target mapping, and migration preparation activities.
Prepare and manage FBDI files and support data upload processes into Oracle Fusion Cloud.
Perform data reconciliation and validation activities to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness after migration.
Establish and maintain data quality assurance processes throughout migration cycles.
Optimize migration processes to support efficient transfer of high-volume finance data while minimizing operational disruption.
Collaborate with integration teams to ensure seamless integration between Oracle Fusion Cloud and third-party systems.
Support migration activities across Development, SIT, UAT, mock migration cycles, dress rehearsals, and production cutover environments.
Prepare and maintain migration-related documentation including data mapping documents, migration procedures, validation documents, and reconciliation reports.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to migration teams while ensuring adherence to project standards and best practices.
Collaborate with project managers, functional teams, technical consultants, and business stakeholders to ensure migration activities align with project timelines and business objectives.
Qualifications
10–14 years of experience in Oracle applications with strong expertise in Oracle Fusion Finance data migration projects.
Hands-on experience supporting data migration activities across Oracle Finance modules including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), Cash Management (CE), and Fixed Assets (FA).
Strong understanding of finance data migration methodologies, reconciliation processes, and best practices.
Experience developing and executing Oracle Fusion Finance data migration strategies.
Experience in legacy data assessment, data cleansing, source-to-target mapping, FBDI preparation, and post-load reconciliation activities.
Hands-on experience with migration tools and technologies including FBDI, REST/SOAP Web Services, ADFdi, and Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).
Strong SQL and PL/SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
Experience supporting full migration lifecycle activities including mock migrations, testing, cutover, and stabilization.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and stakeholder management capabilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within fast-paced project environments.
Knowledge of OTBI reporting capabilities.
Understanding of third-party integrations and inbound/outbound data interfaces within Oracle Fusion Cloud environments.
Experience collaborating with external vendors and support teams.
Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at multiple organizational levels, including senior management.
Oracle Cloud Finance certification is an advantage.
Experience in Oracle EBS to Oracle Fusion Cloud migration projects is preferred.
