Butcher

Job Responsibilities:

• Cut, trim, debone, and prepare meat products according to company standards.
• Portion and package meat accurately for retail or wholesale distribution.
• Inspect meat for quality, freshness, and proper handling.
• Operate and maintain meat processing equipment and tools safely.
• Display and arrange meat products in an organized and appealing manner.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the work area, equipment, and tools.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and health regulations at all times.
• Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or damaged products.
• Receive, store, and rotate meat products using the FIFO (First In, First Out) method.
• Assist customers by providing product recommendations and preparing custom meat cuts upon request.
• Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor or management.

Qualifications:

• High school graduate or vocational graduate.
• Previous experience as a butcher or meat cutter is an advantage.
• Knowledge of different meat cuts, trimming, deboning, and meat preparation techniques.
• Familiar with food safety, sanitation, and proper meat handling procedures.
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy loads.
• Able to work in a cold storage environment.
• Detail-oriented, responsible, and hardworking.
• Willing to work on weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts if needed.
