We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our early childhood education team in Jakarta Utara. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in fostering the cognitive, social, emotional and physical development of our young learners. As a Preschool Teacher, you will create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment where children aged 2-5 years can explore, discover and grow. Your contributions will directly impact the foundational years of our students' educational journey and help shape their lifelong love of learning.
Key responsibilities
Planning and delivering age-appropriate, play-based learning activities that promote cognitive, linguistic, social and physical development
Creating and maintaining a safe, clean and welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and curiosity
Observing individual children's progress and maintaining developmental records to track growth and identify areas for support
Communicating regularly with parents and guardians about their child's development, behaviour and achievements
Implementing classroom routines including transitions, meal times, rest periods and outdoor play in a consistent and caring manner
Building positive relationships with children and helping them develop social skills, emotional regulation and independence
Collaborating with colleagues and other staff members to ensure consistency in approach and high standards of care
Supporting children with different learning styles and additional needs through differentiated instruction and individualised attention
Participating in professional development and continuous training to stay current with best practices in early childhood education
Managing classroom behaviour and implementing positive discipline strategies that support children's emotional wellbeing
What we're looking for
A recognised early childhood education qualification or diploma (such as a Diploma in Early Childhood Education or equivalent)
Proven experience working with preschool or kindergarten-aged children, ideally in a school or educational setting
Strong understanding of child development theories and play-based learning approaches
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with both children and parents
Patience, compassion and genuine enthusiasm for working with young children
Ability to plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate activities and lessons
Strong organisational and time management skills
A commitment to maintaining a safe, hygienic and stimulating learning environment
Flexibility and adaptability when responding to children's individual needs and interests
