- Min. 3 years of experience as Carpenter
We are seeking an experienced Ironworker / Structural Steel Fabricator to join major Oil & Gas, infrastructure, and offshore projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling, fitting, and preparing heavy steel structures while ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret technical and fabrication drawings.
- Assemble and fit structural steel components according to engineering specifications and tolerances.
- Handle and move steel structures and components using overhead cranes.
- Operate Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWP/PLE) for work at height.
- Perform preheating and steel straightening activities using oxy-fuel torches.
- Carry out dimensional checks during fabrication and assembly activities.
Mandatory Requirements (in order of priority)
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Proven experience operating overhead cranes.
- Experience and certification (where required) in the use of Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWP/PLE).
- Experience using oxy-fuel torches for preheating and/or steel straightening operations.
