Requirements
- Juris Doctor degree and active licence to practise law in at least one US state.
- Membership in relevant trusts and estates professional bodies, Bar sections, or estate planning councils.
- Strong experience in Wills, estate planning, probate, estate administration, trusts, and private client advisory.
- Good understanding of US estate tax, gift tax, trust structures, inheritance planning, and succession matters.
- Strong legal drafting skills, including experience preparing Wills, trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, probate documents, and estate planning materials.
- Ability to work in an early-stage, build-from-scratch environment with a high level of ownership.
- Strong commercial judgement with the ability to translate legal analysis into practical business recommendations.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly to clients, non-lawyers, and internal stakeholders.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritise, execute, and manage ambiguity in a fast-moving environment.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with leadership, product, compliance, operations, marketing, and external advisers.
