We are currently seeking a highly motivated and result-oriented individual to join our team as a Trade Marketing Manager.
Key Responsibilities :
Trade Marketing Strategy & Planning
Develop annual and quarterly trade marketing plans aligned with sales department and brand objectives.
Create channel-specific strategies for Modern Trade and General Trade to maximize market coverage and sales performance.
Analyse market trends, consumer behaviour, competitor activities, and retail dynamics to identify growth opportunities.
Manage trade marketing budgets and ensure optimal ROI on promotional investments.
Modern Trade Channel Management
Design and execute promotional programs for Modern Trade (Focusing MTI) customers, including:
Hypermarkets
Supermarkets
Minimarkets
Health & Beauty
E-commerce retail partners
Collaborate with Area Sales Manager and Key Account Managers to develop joint business plans and customer activation programs.
Negotiate and manage visibility programs, display activities, end-cap promotions, category initiatives, and in-store activations.
Monitor promotion effectiveness and recommend improvements.
General Trade Channel Management
Develop GT activation programs to strengthen distribution, visibility, and sell-out performance.
Implement channel programs targeting wholesalers, distributors, and traditional retail outlets.
Design incentive schemes, retailer loyalty programs, and merchandising initiatives.
Support field sales teams/Sales Merchandisers with effective trade tools and promotional materials.
Shopper Marketing & Merchandising
Develop point-of-sale materials (POSM) and merchandising standards.
Ensure strong in-store execution and brand visibility across channels.
Work closely with sales and merchandising teams to monitor compliance and execution quality.
Lead product launches and seasonal campaigns at the trade level.
Sales & Commercial Support
Partner with Sales teams to achieve volume, value, distribution, and market share targets.
Provide channel insights and recommendations to improve sales performance.
Support pricing strategies, trade terms, and promotional planning.
Track and analyse sell-in and sell-out data.
Performance Analysis & Reporting
Monitor trade marketing KPIs including:
Sales growth
Market share
Distribution coverage
Numeric and weighted distribution
Promotion ROI
Visibility compliance
Prepare regular performance reports and business reviews.
Utilise data resources, retailer data, distributor data, and internal sales reports to generate actionable insights.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with:
Brand Marketing
Sales Team
Supply Chain
Finance
Distributor Partners
Ensure alignment between marketing campaigns and trade execution.
Coordinate forecasting and demand planning related to promotional activities.
Qualifications :
Preferred Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Management, or related field.
Minimum 3 – 5 years of experience in Trade Marketing within FMCG industry.
Strong experience in Personal Care, Skincare, Haircare, Beauty, or Consumer Health categories preferred.
Proven experience managing both Modern Trade and General Trade channels in Indonesia.
Strong understanding of retail landscape and distributor management.
Experience working with major MT accounts
