Position Overview
The Manager – Good Mining Practice (GMP) Compliance is responsible for leading the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of Good Mining Practice (GMP) across mining operations. This role ensures compliance with mining regulations, health and safety standards, environmental requirements, and ESG principles while supporting safe, efficient, and sustainable mining operations.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement Good Mining Practice (GMP) strategies in accordance with applicable mining regulations.
Monitor compliance with operational procedures, occupational health & safety (OHS), environmental standards, and GMP requirements across mining operations.
Lead internal audits and compliance assessments, identifying gaps and recommending corrective actions.
Drive GMP awareness through training, coaching, and knowledge sharing for operational teams.
Oversee the implementation of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) initiatives aligned with corporate sustainability objectives.
Prepare compliance reports and regulatory submissions for management and government authorities.
Identify operational risks and develop mitigation plans to strengthen GMP implementation.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective GMP governance and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum 7 years of experience in the mining industry, including at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
Holds a valid Pengawas Operasional Madya (POM) certification.
Strong knowledge of Indonesian mining regulations, Good Mining Practice (GMP), occupational health & safety (OHS), environmental management, reclamation, and ESG principles.
Proven experience in compliance management, risk assessment, and audit activities within mining operations.
Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
High integrity, commitment to operational excellence, and sustainability.
Willing to work at a mine site on a roster basis.
