(Senior) Material Value Proposition Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Responsible to contribute to product cost savings through identifying opportunities for cost savings & build value engineering project pipeline                                                          

• Develop methodologies, templates and approach for target costs based on product analysis data                                                            

• Analyze and evaluate design for materials, manufacturing process & supply chain for value analysis / value engineering opportunities

• Execute & drive VAVE projects starting from Idea generation to implementation

• Co-ordinate with Global & local stake holders including suppliers for project execution including samples, prototypes and testing requirements

• Build active VAVE project funnel and build active VAVE project funnel and to drive multiple VAVE projects in a timely manner to support business goal target

• Establish and update processes for execution on teardown, benchmarking and VAVE requests  

Requirements:

• Minimally a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field of studies

• At least 5 years of relevant working experience in the EMS or an MNC environment 

• Strong analysis skills, knowledge in material pricing and strategy 

• Strong knowledge in Mechanical/Electro-Mechanical/Electronics commodities
