Chemical Process Operator

JOB SUMMARY
Under direct supervision, responsible to work as an integral part of the production team and may be responsible for retrieving, weighing, and mixing chemical ingredients, monitoring equipment during the chemical process.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure work meets or exceeds Jabil workmanship standards and monitor the target achievement closely in order to fix repetitive and recognized problems immediately.

• Perform Anodizing, Passivation, Chemical Conversion Coating operations based on qualification documents.

• Perform lot testing and verification of compliance to the requirements of Chemical Process qualification documents.

• Responsible for mixing chemical and preparation of Chemical Process solution.

• Responsible to carry out masking and demasking Chemical Process part according to the procedure.

• Perform cleaning of parts based on Chemical Process qualification documents.

• Perform compressed air quality checking in Chemical Process area and reporting on appropriate form.

• Perform controlling of racks and basket for parts according to the procedure.

• Maintaining 5S order and cleanliness at all times.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or Vocational Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related fields.

• Have experience in chemical processing, anodizing, passivation, chemical conversion coating, or a manufacturing environment is preferred. Fresh graduates with relevant knowledge are encouraged to apply.

• Basic knowledge of chemical processes, chemical handling, and Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) practices.

• Able to read and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WIs), and process documentation.

• Detail-oriented with good analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Able to work independently as well as in a team environment.

• Willing to work on rotating shifts and overtime when required.

• Knowledge of 5S, Lean Manufacturing, or Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) will be an added advantage.
