About the Role
Reporting to the Country Manager, the incumbent will support the evaluation and execution of business development initiatives, land and plantation asset acquisitions/disposals, insurance management, and banking relationships. The role is responsible for conducting commercial and financial assessments, coordinating due diligence processes, managing financing activities, and supporting strategic projects that enhance the company's growth and asset value.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
Assist the Country Manager in identifying and evaluating growth opportunities, including plantation, mill, and downstream investments.
Conduct market research, commercial assessments, and feasibility studies for new business initiatives.
Prepare business cases, investment proposals, and management presentations.
Support the evaluation of mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships.
Monitor industry trends, market developments, and emerging business opportunities within the palm oil sector.
Land & Asset Acquisition / Disposal
Identify and assess potential plantation, land, mill, and related asset acquisition opportunities.
Coordinate due diligence activities covering legal, financial, operational, environmental, and sustainability aspects.
Review land ownership documentation, HGU status, licenses, and relevant permits.
Assist in negotiations relating to acquisitions, disposals, leases, and strategic investment transactions.
Work closely with external consultants, valuers, surveyors, and legal advisors throughout transaction processes.
Maintain records and reports relating to asset transactions and investment evaluations.
Banking & Financing
Maintain and strengthen relationships with banks, financial institutions, and financing partners.
Assist in arranging loan facilities, refinancing exercises, project financing, and other funding requirements.
Prepare financing proposals, lender presentations, and supporting documentation.
Insurance Management
Coordinate the company's insurance portfolio covering plantations, mills, fixed assets, inventories, and liabilities.
Assist in annual insurance renewals, policy reviews, and tender exercises.
Strategic Planning & Analysis
Develop financial models and investment analyses for acquisition and expansion projects.
Conduct valuation assessments and return-on-investment analyses.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Agribusiness, or related disciplines.
Minimum 8–15 years of relevant experience in agribusiness, palm oil, corporate finance, banking, business development, investment analysis.
Experience in land acquisition, plantation investments, project evaluation, or financing activities will be an advantage.
Good understanding of Indonesian plantation regulations, land matters, and HGU requirements.
Proficiency in financial modeling, investment appraisal, and business case preparation.
Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
