The Role
We are looking for a welcoming, organised and proactive administrator to be the friendly face of our Palmerston North office. As the first point of contact for all staff, clients and visitors, you’ll play a key role in creating a positive experience while ensuring the office operates efficiently behind the scenes.
This is a varied, hands-on role that combines reception, office administration, business support and workplace coordination. No two days are the same! You will work across a range of responsibilities, helping to keep our people connected, our office running smoothly, and our organisation delivering for the communities we serve.
What you’ll do
You’ll greet visitors warmly, answer phone calls, manage appointments and provide a positive first impression for clients and stakeholders.
You’ll coordinate day-to-day office operations, including managing supplies, meeting rooms, fleet vehicles, building maintenance and contractor liaison.
You’ll provide administrative support across the organisation, including data entry, project support, reporting and quality systems.
You’ll support emergency preparedness by coordinating fire drills, maintain emergency equipment and helping keep our workplace safe.
About you
You are naturally friendly, kind, and enjoy building positive relationships with people from all walks of life
You can handle a busy desk, keep accurate records, and maintain confidentiality
You have a proactive, positive attitude and willingness to pitch in wherever needed
You are confident using Microsoft Office and enjoy learning new systems
You understand and respect the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and want to help us create a fair environment for everyone.
