Accounts Payable (AP) Associate is responsible for processing and monitoring company payables, ensuring that supplier invoices are accurate, approved, and paid on time. The role supports the Finance and Accounting team by maintaining complete records, reconciling supplier accounts, and ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, verify, and process supplier invoices and payment requests.
- Match invoices with purchase orders, delivery receipts, and supporting documents.
- Prepare vouchers and schedule payments to suppliers.
- Process payments through bank transfers, checks, or other approved payment methods.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate accounts payable records and filing systems.
- Monitor due dates to ensure timely payment and avoid penalties.
- Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
- Prepare reports on outstanding payables, aging, and payment schedules.
- Coordinate with Purchasing, Logistics, and other departments regarding invoice concerns.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, tax regulations, and accounting standards.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documents.
- Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 1–2 years of experience in Accounts Payable or General Accounting is preferred.
- Fresh graduates with strong accounting knowledge are welcome to apply.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes.
- Experience using accounting software or ERP systems is an advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
