We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Customer Service Executive to join our Medan team. The Customer Service Executive supports end-to-end container shipping operations by managing customer bookings, coordinating across internal teams and external partners, and ensuring smooth execution of export and import shipments with high service quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and monitor end-to-end booking processes from submission to vessel departure.

  • Handle customer inquiries via phone and email related to bookings, schedules, rates, cargo status, and service requests.

  • Coordinate closely with Sales, Operations, Documentation, Trade, and overseas agents to ensure timely booking release and cargo movement.

  • Process and monitor firm bookings, connecting vessel requests, space protection, rollovers, and booking materialization.

  • Support special cargo handling (Reefer, OOG, DG), including system input, approvals, and compliance checks.

  • Maintain accurate booking data, forecasts, shipment monitoring, and operational reports in internal systems and SharePoint.

  • Proactively communicate schedule updates, delays, and service changes to customers.

  • Guide and educate customers on booking procedures, schedules, and cargo tracking platforms.

  • Assist with customer data maintenance, surcharge setup, COD charge checks, and system administration tasks as required.

 

Requirements:

·       Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.

·       2–4 years’ experience in customer service or operations within shipping or logistics.

·       Good understanding of container shipping processes, bookings, and vessel schedules.

·       Familiar with booking systems and MS Office.

·       Knowledge of export/import operations and special cargo (Reefer/OOG/DG) is an advantage.

·       Good command of English, both written and spoken.

·       Strong communication, coordination, and problem‑solving skills.

·       Customer‑oriented, detail‑focused, and able to work under pressure.

·       Workplace: Semarang Branch
