- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of expectant mothers, identifying potential risks or complications and developing appropriate care plans
- Provide expert guidance and support to patients during pregnancy, labor, and postpartum recovery, adhering to established protocols and best practices
- Monitor the progress of labor, utilizing specialized equipment and techniques to ensure the safety of both the mother and baby
- Administer necessary medications and treatments as prescribed, closely monitoring for any adverse reactions or side effects
- Perform emergency interventions, such as neonatal resuscitation, when required, with utmost professionalism and composure
- Educate and counsel patients on various aspects of pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum care, promoting healthy practices and addressing concerns
- Collaborate effectively with obstetricians, pediatricians, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive and coordinated care
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, ensuring proper documentation of patient information, treatments, and outcomes
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay current with the latest advancements and best practices in midwifery
- Valid midwifery license or certification as required by local regulations
- Minimum 1 year of experience in maternal and newborn care (if applicable)
- Strong knowledge of antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care
- Proficiency in handling normal deliveries and recognizing obstetric emergencies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
- Commitment to patient-centered care and ethical medical practices
