Sales Representative – Travel
Job Summary
The Sales Representative is responsible for generating sales by assisting customers through online channels, including social media, live chat, email, messaging platforms, and phone. The role focuses on promoting travel products and services, converting inquiries into bookings, and providing exceptional customer support throughout the customer journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries received through social media, live chat, email, messaging applications, phone calls, and the company website.
- Promote and sell domestic and international tour packages, hotel accommodations, flights, transfers, cruises, travel insurance, and other travel-related services.
- Understand customer travel preferences and recommend suitable travel packages and destinations.
- Prepare customized travel itineraries, quotations, and proposals based on customer requirements and budget.
- Convert online inquiries into confirmed bookings while achieving individual sales targets.
- Process reservations, bookings, payments, and travel documentation accurately and efficiently.
- Coordinate with airlines, hotels, tour operators, destination management companies (DMCs), and other travel partners to ensure smooth travel arrangements.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals.
- Follow up with potential customers and maintain an active sales pipeline using the company's CRM system.
- Stay updated on travel trends, promotional offers, airline schedules, visa requirements, and destination information.
- Resolve customer concerns professionally and ensure a positive customer experience before, during, and after travel.
- Collaborate with the Marketing team on promotional campaigns, online sales initiatives, and lead-generation activities.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, bookings, and sales performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Tourism, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- At least 1–2 years of experience in travel sales, online customer service, or a related sales role.
- Experience selling travel products such as tour packages, flights, hotels, or cruises is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of domestic and international travel destinations and travel products.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong sales, negotiation, and customer service skills.
- Comfortable using CRM systems, online booking platforms, and digital communication tools.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
