About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Shopkeeper to join PT The Paralian Uluwatu in Badung, Bali. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in delivering exceptional retail experiences and maintaining the smooth day-to-day operations of our store. As a Shopkeeper, you will be the face of our brand, responsible for creating a welcoming environment, managing inventory, and ensuring customer satisfaction at every interaction. This role is essential to our retail success and directly contributes to building long-term customer relationships and driving business growth.

Key responsibilities

1. Greet customers warmly and provide expert assistance with product selection and enquiries

2. Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using point-of-sale systems

3. Maintain store appearance, cleanliness and organisation at all times

4. Monitor and manage inventory levels, including stock rotation and replenishment

5. Receive and process incoming deliveries, checking goods for quality and accuracy

6. Handle customer complaints and concerns professionally, resolving issues promptly

7. Assist with merchandising, window displays and promotional activities

8. Comply with company policies, health and safety regulations and loss prevention procedures

9. Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and store objectives

10. Perform opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and security checks

What we're looking for

1. Prior experience in retail or customer service roles, ideally within a consumer products environment

2. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse customers

3. Excellent numeracy skills and accuracy in cash handling and transactions

4. Proficiency in using point-of-sale systems and retail technology

5. Flexibility and reliability, including the ability to work weekends and peak trading periods

6. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service

7. Physical stamina and willingness to perform duties including standing for extended periods and lifting merchandise

8. Attention to detail and the ability to maintain high standards of store presentation

9. Fluency in English and/or Indonesian is essential; additional languages are advantageous
