About the role
Locca Sea House is seeking a full-time Host/Hostess to join our dynamic team in Badung, Bali. As a Host/Hostess, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their experience and ensuring they feel welcomed and valued from the moment they arrive. This role is crucial to the smooth operation of our establishment and directly impacts guest satisfaction and retention. You will work on-site at our Badung location, greeting guests, managing reservations, coordinating seating arrangements, and providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Key responsibilities
Greeting guests warmly and courteously upon arrival, creating a positive first impression
Managing the host stand, including coordinating reservations and walk-in guest arrivals
Seating guests in accordance with server availability and section assignments
Providing guests with menus and communicating any specials or promotions
Answering guest enquiries regarding menu items, facilities, and services
Maintaining the reception area to ensure it is clean, organised, and welcoming
Coordinating with kitchen and serving staff to manage guest flow and dining experience
Processing reservations and maintaining accurate records of bookings
Handling guest concerns or complaints with professionalism and escalating issues when necessary
Assisting with basic administrative duties such as answering phones and taking messages
What we're looking for
Previous experience as a Host/Hostess, front-of-house staff member, or in a similar customer-facing role in the hospitality industry
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for delivering outstanding guest service
A warm, professional demeanour with the ability to remain calm and composed in busy environments
Strong organisational and time management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Proficiency in basic computer skills and experience with reservation management systems or point-of-sale systems, preferred
Fluency in English; additional languages such as Indonesian or Mandarin are advantageous
Physical ability to stand for extended periods and move around the establishment
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required by the business
A positive attitude, reliability, and a willingness to work as part of a team
