Procurement Head (GM Level) Food Manufacturing

We are looking for an experienced General Manager – Procurement to lead the end-to-end procurement function and develop a strategic procurement organization that supports business growth, operational efficiency, and supply continuity.

The ideal candidate has strong procurement leadership experience in the food manufacturing industry, particularly in managing commodity procurement, and is comfortable handling both direct and indirect procurement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the end-to-end procurement function, covering both direct and indirect procurement.

• Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with business objectives and supply chain requirements.

• Lead strategic sourcing, supplier selection, negotiation, and supplier relationship management.

• Manage key commodity sourcing and ensure continuity, quality, cost efficiency, and availability of materials.

• Develop supplier segmentation, performance management, and strategic supplier partnerships.

• Drive cost-saving and cost-avoidance initiatives through strategic sourcing, negotiation, value engineering, and cost analysis.

• Establish and maintain procurement policies, SOPs, approval frameworks, and governance standards.

• Identify and mitigate procurement and supplier risks, including supply dependency, price volatility, and single-source risks.

• Work closely with Production, Plant, QA/QC, Supply Chain, Finance, Sales/Marketing, and other functions to ensure effective procurement planning and execution.

• Drive procurement digitalization, data-driven decision making, and process standardization.

• Lead, coach, and develop the procurement team, including performance management and succession planning.

• Provide strategic procurement insights and recommendations to senior management.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a General Manager / Head of Procurement or equivalent senior procurement leadership position.

• Strong experience in the Food Manufacturing industry is mandatory.

• Strong experience in commodity procurement, preferably handling key raw materials and commodities relevant to food manufacturing.

• Proven experience managing both Direct and Indirect Procurement.

• Strong track record in strategic sourcing, supplier management, negotiation, and cost optimization.

• Experience managing supplier performance, procurement risks, contracts, and governance.

• Strong leadership experience with the ability to build, manage, and develop procurement teams.

• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

• Strong commercial acumen and ability to make data-driven procurement decisions.

• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.

• Willing to be based in Muara Baru, Jakarta Utara.
