CORE PURPOSE:
Learning Assistant (LA) will be required to have a secure foundation of knowledge, skills and understanding in Early Years and/or Primary Education. Assisting and supporting learning activities to foster the participation of students in the social and academic processes of the school, enabling students to become independent learners and help to raise the standards of achievement for all students.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Essential:
Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years experience working within a school setting as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or Teacher.
Successful experience in the education industry, particularly supporting learning of students within the age range of 3-11 years within an International setting.
Good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage Development Matters (UK), UK National Curriculum and International Primary Curriculum (IPC).
Good written and verbal communication in English and good interpersonal skills in order to effectively liaise with students and other parties.
Good computer literacy (Learning Applications and Google Suite).
Desirable:
Bachelor’s Degree in Education.
Experience of play-based (EYFS) or inquiry-led approaches to learning.
