PROCESS ENGINEER

Functional description

Work to solve technical issues and to development existing processes in a production line to enable a stable and quality production.

Tasks and responsibilities

To work and control on behalf of PT TDK ELECTRONICS INDONESIA, process engineering activities of SYSTEMS production lines, Batam. The activities cover,

1.         Lead Yield Improvement Plan (YIP) by defining robust process, good quality of direct and indirect material that supported by well trained personnel and reliable machine. Use all related quality tool in order to properly analyze the issue and its resolution.

2.         Drafting process ideas to reduce costs and improve production rates

3.         Performing risk assessments

4.         Ensuring processes comply with safety and quality standards.

5.         Performing process simulations and troubleshooting issues.

6.         Performing optimization tests.

7.         Developing routines and best practices to ensure product quality.

8.         Improve and control Out Going Quality & IPQP by defining proper actions through systematic approach and close with proper documentation.

9.         Regular and periodic reporting to the superior about the progress of the assigned project/task.

10.      Overall responsible for process control of assigned production line/process/project, responsible for achieving scrap, delivery targets.

11.      Work with PE (production engineering team) to create user requirement specification (URS) of equipment’s.

12.      Work with PE when liaise with external vendors based on URS and actively participate in concept and design finalization.

13.      Preparation/updating and distribution of documents such as Control Plans, PFMEA, Work Instruction, Sample Board, etc.

14.      Periodic review and updating of documents.

15.      Monitoring and review of production performance including Delivery performance, Quality level and Productivity on a continuous basis

16.      To improve production process with collective study and understanding of process parameters requirement with the correct tooling, machinery and measurement equipment

17.      Ability to perform detail process and equipment analysis in order to perform a process capability, capacity, and failures analysis

18.      In house process improvement and controlling such as:

-                Work with QA for 8-D report closure, response to ODR etc.

-                Perform process capability analysis and capacity study

-                To monitor production performance according company target

Authorization

• Access to SAP system

• Access to Q-Das and MES systems.

• Access to PLANTA system

Conditions of employment and interaction

Cooperation / adjustment with project leaders of other internal departments within BT TPS

Working closely with TPS management and heads of departments of TPS

Requirements

Education:

Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering discipline

Experience: 

·         Min 3 years’ experience in electronic component manufacturing environment.

·         Proven work experience as a Process Engineer

·         Must have worked in factory with automotive quality standards.

Knowledge:

·         The ability to resolve problems in an efficient manner.

·         The capacity to communicate and present data clearly and effectively.

·         A complete understanding of electronics manufacturing processes.

·         Successful application of health and safety practices.

·         Excellent leadership skills and a desire to work in a team environment.

·         Thorough knowledge of engineering, scientific and other technical information relating to manufacturing processes.

·         Integrated management system (EMS, QMS, OHAS)

·         Core tools:

o     APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning)

o     FMEA (Design and Process)

o     PPAP (Production Part Approval Process)

o     SPC

o     MSA

·         Industrial engineering tools

·         Problem solving techniques

o    Cause and effect diagram

o    5-Why analysis

o    Control chart / Flow chart

o    Histogram/Pareto chart/Scatter diagram

·         Six sigma concepts

·         Minitab/related software for analysis.

·         ERP system (SAP)

·         8-D approach

·         Lean manufacturing principles

·         Total productive maintenance

Experience working with CAD and AutoCAD as an added advantage.
