This is a senior-level bookkeeping position responsible for managing day-to-day financial records, maintaining accurate accounting data, and supporting the overall financial operations of a business. This is not an entry-level role.
The role works closely with business owners, finance leaders, accountants, and operational teams to ensure financial information is accurate, organized, and up to date.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance
Record, classify, and reconcile financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner
Perform bank, credit card, and account reconciliations
Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports
Monitor cash flow, outstanding balances, and account discrepancies
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial tracking activities
Support month-end and year-end closing processes
Coordinate with accountants, tax professionals, and internal stakeholders as needed
Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and reporting requirements
Identify discrepancies and resolve financial issues proactively
Recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
Expectations
Minimum 5+ years of professional bookkeeping experience
Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles, financial reporting, and account reconciliation
Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, NetSuite, Sage, or similar platforms
Experience managin?g accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll support, and general ledger activities
Ability to prepare and analyze financial reports with a high level of accuracy
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining organized financial records
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines consistently
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and exercise sound judgment
