Legal & Licensing Specialist

About the role

As the Legal & Licensing Specialist at PT Polychemie Asia Pacific Permai, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the company's legal and licensing compliance. Reporting to the senior management team, you will be responsible for providing expert legal advice, drafting and reviewing contracts, and overseeing the company's licensing requirements. This is a full-time position based in South Jakarta, Jakarta.

What you'll be doing

1. Providing comprehensive legal support and advice to the business on a range of commercial and regulatory matters

2. Ensuring the company maintains all necessary licenses and permits, and that all legal and regulatory requirements are met

3. Providing legal advice on contracts, agreements, and internal policies related to licensing

4. Drafting, reviewing, and updating legal documents related to factory operations

5. Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of legal contracts and agreements, such as business agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and service level agreements

6. Staying up-to-date with changes in relevant laws and regulations, and advising the business on the implications with appropriate actions

7. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate legal risks

8. Maintaining detailed records and documentation to support the company's legal and compliance efforts

9. Preparing compliance and licensing status reports regularly for management.

What we're looking for

1. A bachelor's degree in law or a related field with at least 3-5 years of experience in a legal or compliance role, preferably within the chemical manufacturing industry

2. Proven experience in handling certification, licensing and documentation according to Indonesia's Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK), Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning (ATR/BPN), and also Majelis Ulama Indonesia (MUI)

3. Excellent contract drafting and negotiation skills

4. Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities

5. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

6. Proficient in Indonesian and English, both written and verbal
