About the role
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Marketing Assistant to join our dynamic marketing team at HORIBA Instruments Singapore. You will support the team across a broad range of marketing activities — from producing compelling visual content to coordinating high-profile industry exhibitions across Southeast Asia. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and is equally comfortable behind a screen designing materials or standing in front of an audience representing the brand.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in the planning, coordination, and on-site execution of trade exhibitions and industry events (e.g., set-up, logistics, booth management, and teardown under tight schedules)
Design and produce marketing collaterals including banners, wall panels, brochures, product sheets, and digital assets using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
Support digital marketing activities including social media content creation, email marketing, and campaign materials
Liaise with vendors, exhibition organisers, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth event delivery
Assist in preparing product presentation materials and supporting sales team communications
Maintain organised records of marketing assets, vendor contacts, and exhibition inventories
REQUIREMENTS:
Degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related field with at least 3 years of relevant experience
Proficient in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator — working knowledge of print production, file formats, and colour profiles is a plus
Comfortable with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Proactive and energetic — you take initiative and do not wait to be told what to do
Confident communicator — comfortable with public speaking, client-facing interactions, and presenting at exhibitions or events
Meticulous and well-organised — especially when managing exhibition logistics under time pressure, where attention to detail is critical
Able to multitask and prioritise effectively when handling multiple concurrent projects
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write clear
Willingness to travel regionally for exhibitions when required
Able to handle ad-hoc tasks
