Manager R&D

Responsibilities :

• Lead end-to-end product development for cosmetic and personal care products (facial skincare, hair care, and body care), from concept, formulation, stability testing, scale-up, product registration, to commercial launch, ensuring achievement of timeline, quality, and cost targets.
• Conduct market trend analysis, consumer insight research, competitor benchmarking, and formulation technology evaluation to drive product innovation and business growth.
• Develop and optimize product formulations through new product development and reformulation initiatives, ensuring compliance with stability, safety, quality, BPOM requirements, and applicable cosmetic regulations.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Procurement, Production, QA/QC, Regulatory, and Packaging Development teams, while managing supplier partnerships and evaluating new raw materials and technologies to support successful product launches.
• Manage project execution and team performance by monitoring development progress, preparing technical documentation and reports, identifying risks and corrective actions, and leading coaching, mentoring, and succession planning initiatives.

Requirements :

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 7–10 years of experience in the cosmetics industry (preferably OEM/ODM), including at least 3 years of leadership experience in R&D or formulation teams and product development project management.
• Solid understanding of stability testing, compatibility testing, Cosmetic GMP, BPOM regulations, and Halal requirements.
• Excellent leadership, project management, coaching, analytical thinking, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate effectively in English with internal teams and suppliers.
