About the role
Surabaya Montessori School is seeking a full-time Mandarin Teacher to join our dynamic team. As a Mandarin Teacher, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality Mandarin language instruction to our students, fostering their language skills and cultural understanding.
What you'll be doing
Plan and deliver engaging Mandarin language lessons for students of various age groups and proficiency levels
Develop and implement innovative teaching methods and resources to enhance student learning and participation
Assess student progress, provide feedback, and adapt lessons to meet individual needs
Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive learning environment
Participate in school events, activities, and professional development opportunities
Contribute to the overall growth and development of the school's Mandarin language program
What we're looking for
Candidate must possess at least Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree/Post Graduate Degree with a specialisation in Mandarin language teaching.
Required language(s): Mandarin with minimum HSK 4 (mandatory) and having HSK 5 is an advantage.
Minimum 1 years of experience teaching Mandarin to students in a school or formal educational setting.
Excellent Mandarin language proficiency, both written and verbal.
Strong pedagogical skills and the ability to adapt teaching methods to different learning styles.
Familiarity with Montessori or other alternative teaching methodologies is an advantage.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students.
A passion for education and a commitment to student-centred learning.
