Preparing and managing project budgets, cost estimates, and financial forecasts for construction and industrial development projects
Conducting detailed cost analysis and value engineering studies to optimise project expenditure
Managing tender processes, including the preparation of tender documents and evaluation of contractor bids
Administering contracts and managing variations, claims, and contractual disputes in accordance with contract terms
Monitoring project costs throughout the construction phase and implementing cost control measures to prevent budget overruns
Mentoring and supervising junior quantity surveyors and support staff within the surveying team
Identifying and managing procurement strategies and supplier relationships to achieve best value for money
What we're looking for
Professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or related discipline from a recognised institution
Minimum 8 years' post-qualification experience in quantity surveying, with substantial experience in construction or industrial projects
Demonstrated expertise in cost estimation, budget management, and financial control
Proficiency in quantity surveying software and standard office applications
Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to manage relationships with contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with meticulous attention to detail
Experience in tender management and procurement processes
