PT Melchers Melindo Indonesia is looking for an experienced Import / Export (EXIM) Staff to join our team.
If you have hands-on experience handling import shipments, especially restricted goods (Lartas) and import permits, we'd love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
Handle the end-to-end import process, from Purchase Order until goods are delivered to the warehouse.
Prepare and review import documentation (Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading/AWB, COO, Insurance, etc.).
Manage import permits and licensing requirements, particularly for Lartas products.
Coordinate with overseas suppliers, freight forwarders, PPJK, shipping lines, and Customs.
Monitor shipment schedules and customs clearance to ensure timely delivery.
Verify HS Codes and ensure compliance with Indonesian import regulations.
Estimate and monitor import-related costs (freight, duties, taxes, handling charges, etc.).
Coordinate with Sales, Warehouse, Finance, and Service teams regarding shipment status and delivery schedules.
Maintain complete and accurate import documentation and records.
Resolve shipment or customs-related issues proactively.
Requirements
Minimum 3 years of experience as an Import/Export (EXIM) Staff.
Experienced in handling import shipments requiring special permits (Lartas).
Strong understanding of Indonesian import regulations and customs procedures.
Familiar with import documentation and customs clearance processes.
Experience coordinating with freight forwarders, PPJK, and Customs.
Knowledge of HS Code classification is an advantage.
Experience with SAP Business One is a plus.
Able to communicate in English, both written and spoken.
Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
