Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives and operational requirements.
Lead sourcing activities, supplier evaluations, and commercial negotiations to secure the best value for the company.
Manage procurement of mining operational needs, including equipment, spare parts, fuel, services, and contractors.
Handle procurement and commercial negotiations related to marine logistics, including barge and tugboat services.
Manage vendor relationships and monitor supplier performance to ensure quality, cost efficiency, and service reliability.
Review, negotiate, and administer procurement contracts in compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
Identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement, and procurement efficiency.
Monitor procurement spending and support budget control initiatives.
Assess and mitigate procurement-related risks, including supplier and contract risks.
Collaborate closely with Operations, Logistics, Finance, and other stakeholders to support business requirements.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.
Minimum 10 years of experience in Procurement, Purchasing, Supply Chain, or Commercial functions within the mining industry.
Proven experience handling procurement for mining operations.
Strong understanding of marine logistics and transportation, including barge (tongkang) and tugboat operations.
Experience negotiating contracts with shipping companies, barge operators, logistics providers, or related vendors is highly preferred.
Strong commercial negotiation, contract management, and vendor management skills.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management abilities.
Familiar with procurement governance, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Willing to travel for business purposes when required.
