Production Engineer – Slitting

Responsible for the establishment of production process standards of aseptic packaging material on Slitting, Doctoring and Packing Area, and the continuous improvement of those standards. 

Responsibilities:

1. Establish and maintain production process standards for each process step and for all products within the Slitting, Doctoring, and Packing cells.

2. Define and set process and equipment parameters, as well as operating methods, including preparing the necessary documentation to support production operations.

3. Support production activities by developing training materials and providing training for production operators.

4. Assist project engineers in developing, optimizing, and improving production processes.

5. Participate in research and development activities for new products and in establishing new process standards.

6. Collaborate with the Quality team to define, monitor, and continuously improve Quality Control Points.

7. Take part in root cause analysis of customer complaints and follow up on the implementation of corrective and preventive actions related to process engineering.

8. Actively participate in improvement teams and promote continuous improvement initiatives.

9. Working English proficiency to read technical manuals, equipment specifications, and engineering drawings/documents in English; communicate with overseas equipment suppliers/vendors for installation, maintenance, or troubleshooting support; and prepare technical reports.

Requirements:

• Candidates must hold at least a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field

• Have work experience in similar industries (Packaging) and have a certain understanding of cutting equipment

• A minimum of 6 years of experience in slitting processes within aseptic packaging manufacturing

• Experience using high speed slitting machine (1200 M/minutes) wide band

• Experience with IMS machines (AZ7 and T2D) is an advantage

• Strong knowledge of inspection machines. Experience with Zeugma or IMS inspection systems is an advantage

• Good understanding of packing line equipment, such as conveyor systems, plastic shrink ovens, palletizing cranes, stretch film applicators, and related equipment

• Good knowledge of Lean Six Sigma, TPM, Kaizen, WCM, or other continuous improvement methodologies

• Proficient in English and able to use it as a working language

• Willing to be placed in Cikande (Serang area)
