The Finance Officer is responsible for managing the company’s day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with financial regulations, and supporting business decisions through financial analysis. In the gaming industry, this role also oversees revenue tracking from gaming platforms, payment processing, digital transactions, and financial controls related to gaming operations.
Responsibilities:
? Manage full-cycle accounting, including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
? Oversee daily financial transactions, including tax compliance, audit requirements, and general accounting functions.
? Coordinate closely with external accounting partners to ensure accurate preparation of tax returns and compliance with BIR regulations.
? Ensure compliance with all applicable BIR issuances and regulatory requirements.
? Track gaming revenue, player transactions, subscriptions, in-game purchases, and digital payment reconciliations.
? Process and validate deposits and withdrawals accurately and on time.
? Monitor payment gateways in real time and resolve or escalate issues such as delays or failures.
? Assist the Customer Service team with finance-related concerns and transaction inquiries.
? Collaborate with operations, marketing, and gaming teams on financial matters and reporting needs.
? Escalate high-risk, unusual, or unresolved transactions for review.
? Maintain proper transaction tagging and ensure accuracy of financial records.
? Ensure timely and accurate updates of financial files and reports.
? Investigate and report recurring discrepancies or operational issues.
? Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations.
? Support audit activities, checks, and financial validations.
? Identify process gaps and recommend improvements for efficiency and control.
? Assist in payroll processing and employee reimbursements, when required.
? Perform other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by immediate superior and management from time to time.
Job Requirements:
? Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, CPA is an advantage but not required.
? 2-5 years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably in the gaming, technology, or digital entertainment industry.
? Knowledge of BIR regulations, tax compliance, and reporting requirements.
? Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
? Experience using accounting software (ERP systems or similar platforms) is required.
? Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
? Knowledge of digital payment platforms and online transaction reconciliation is preferred.
? Familiarity with financial compliance requirements in the gaming industry is an advantage.
? Ability to perform filing, documentation, and record-keeping tasks.
? Excellent communication skills both oral & written.
? High attention to detail and strong analytical skills and problem solving abilities.
? Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
? Amenable to work in BGC, Taguig City.
? Willing to work on a Monday to Saturday schedule.
