We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Network Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and optimize the organization's network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and performance of all network systems while supporting business operations within a fast-paced gaming platform environment. This role requires strong technical expertise in network administration, troubleshooting, security, and infrastructure planning.
Responsibilities:
Network Administration & Infrastructure
• Install, configure, maintain, and monitor network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, wireless networks, and related hardware.
• Maintain network servers, operating systems, associated hardware, software, services, and system configurations.
• Monitor network availability, performance, and security to ensure maximum uptime.
• Perform routine network maintenance, upgrades, and optimization.
• Design and implement scalable network solutions to support business growth.
Network Security
• Recommend, test, and implement network and security upgrades.
• Maintain firewall configurations, VPN connectivity, and network access controls.
• Update antivirus and endpoint protection software to safeguard company data and communications.
• Monitor network security threats and respond to incidents promptly.
• Ensure compliance with company IT security policies and industry best practices.
Troubleshooting & Technical Support
• Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues and hardware failures.
• Provide second-level technical support for network-related concerns.
• Install, configure, and maintain multi-user software accessed through network file servers.
• Perform equipment repair, replacement, and upgrades when necessary.
• Troubleshoot LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, and internet connectivity issues.
Network Planning & Documentation
• Perform network design, capacity planning, and performance analysis.
• Research new networking technologies, hardware, software, and services to improve infrastructure.
• Create and maintain network diagrams, documentation, and technical procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation of network systems, configurations, and changes.
• Ensure regular system backups and secure off-site storage of critical data.
Systems & Infrastructure Support
• Work closely with the System Administrator in planning, implementing, and documenting network topology and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI).
• Support the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of end-user hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
Asset & Vendor Management
• Assist in evaluating, ordering, and managing networking hardware, software licenses, and IT supplies.
• Coordinate with vendors regarding network equipment, warranties, maintenance, and technical support.
• Participate in infrastructure improvement and procurement initiatives.
Other Duties
• Perform preventive maintenance on network infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with IT policies, procedures, and documentation standards.
• Participate in disaster recovery planning and business continuity initiatives.
• Facilitated the IT onboarding and offboarding of employees by provisioning and deprovisioning user accounts, system access, email, and company devices.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Job Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least 2–5 years of experience in network administration or network engineering.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, routing, switching, and wireless networking.
• Experience configuring and maintaining routers, switches, firewalls, and network security appliances.
• Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, and network operating systems.
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) is an advantage.
• Knowledge of network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Excellent documentation and technical writing skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent are an advantage.
• Willing to work onsite in BGC, Taguig City
