We are seeking a Head Chef to join our kitchen team and lead our culinary operations. The Head Chef will be responsible for designing and executing high-quality Japanese cuisine, ensuring every dish meets the highest standards of taste, presentation, and consistency. This role also involves leading the kitchen team, managing daily operations, and maintaining strict hygiene and food safety standards.
The ideal candidate is passionate about Japanese cuisine, experienced in fast-paced kitchen environments, and confident in live cooking performance in front of guests. Strong leadership, creativity in menu development, and the ability to maintain operational excellence are essential to succeed in this role.
Job Descriptions
Lead kitchen operations for a new Japanese concept restaurant under Soichiro Group
Design, develop, and execute premium Japanese-inspired menus
Supervise daily kitchen activities to ensure smooth and efficient service
Train, guide, and manage kitchen staff performance
Maintain consistent food quality, taste, and presentation standards
Enforce strict hygiene, safety, and kitchen cleanliness standards
Coordinate with management for menu updates and operational improvements
Execute live cooking presentation aligned with restaurant concept
Ensure overall kitchen readiness for daily service and peak hours
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or a related field is preferred, but graduates from culinary school with relevant experience may also be considered.
Minimum 3+ years experience in professional kitchen operations
Strong understanding of Japanese cuisine
Experience in sushi is a plus point
Proven leadership ability in managing kitchen teams
Able to work in fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Strong discipline, communication, and operational mindset
