Design and build the next era of conversational commerce.

Join our product team to design and build the next era of conversational commerce. At bitbybit, product designers are full-cycle creators — we don't just hand off static Figma files, we operate a cutting-edge AI-assisted Design-to-Code workflow. You'll work closely with our product and engineering teams to design intuitive, high-polish interfaces, write product specs (PRDs), and learn to leverage AI tools to translate designs into front-end code assets. If you have an obsessive eye for user experience, love diving deep to solve complex problems, and are eager to work at the intersection of AI, design, and product — this role is for you.

How we work.

- Design in Agile sprints — learn how design aligns with engineering sprints to deliver features continuously

- AI-assisted development — use LLMs and design-to-code tools to translate your Figma UI components into clean front-end assets

- Collaborative handoff — work side-by-side with engineers to hand over code assets and learn real-world developer workflows using Git/GitHub

Key Responsibilities.

- Design & spec ownership — write lean PRDs, map user journeys, and create high-fidelity UI/UX layouts in Figma for our product ecosystem

- AI-powered prototyping — leverage AI coding assistants to convert your Figma designs into responsive layout assets

- Collaborative handoff — work with engineering to commit code assets and open Pull Requests (PRs) on GitHub directly linked to tasks

- Obsess over polish — review live builds, run QA checks, and work with the team to eliminate design debt so our products feel premium

- Active scrum participation — join backlog grooming sessions to present mockups and discuss technical constraints

Requirements.

- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, Visual Communication, or a related field

- High intellectual curiosity — a natural self-starter who loves exploring new tools and digging under the hood of how things work (user behavior, AI prompting, or code)

- Problem obsession — you fall in love with the user's problem, not just your first design; you want to understand the why before drawing a single line

- Hyper-learning mindset — a proven ability to learn new tools, technologies, and workflows rapidly, and comfort using AI tools to tackle technical tasks

- Figma proficiency — solid understanding of Figma structure (components, Auto Layout, variants, and responsive layout principles)

- Technical curiosity — basic understanding of HTML/CSS and a zero-fear attitude toward learning Git, GitHub, and frontend frameworks

- Autonomy & speed — ability to navigate ambiguity, ask questions early, and maintain momentum in a fast-paced environment

- Communication — clear, structured communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia

Nice to have.

- Experience building or designing for Shopify, WhatsApp APIs, or conversational UI/chatbots

- Prior experience prompting LLMs (Gemini, Claude, ChatGPT) for web development or UI layouts

- A portfolio showing a project you took all the way from research/PRD to a high-fidelity prototype

What you'll learn & gain.

- AI-native design skills — master the workflow of pairing AI agents with design tools to design and iterate at speed

- End-to-end product ownership — hands-on experience in both Product Management (writing specs, alignment) and Product Design

- Real-world impact — your designs and front-end assets ship to staging and production, serving 1,000+ merchants globally
