The Cairns Integrated Palliative Care Service delivers specialist, multidisciplinary care across hospital, community, aged care, and rural settings within the Cairns and Hinterland region. Our service includes community and aged care programs (SPACE), rural telehealth support (SPaRTa), inpatient care in Gordonvale, and consult liaison services at Cairns Hospital. We are committed to improving quality of life for people with life-limiting illness and their families, providing coordinated, person-centred care that supports dignity, continuity, and choice—wherever people prefer to receive care.

About your opportunity:
In this position you will...
- Provision of collaborative clinical leadership within a multidisciplinary environment that contributes to professional practice and upholds patient rights and responsibilities in regards to health care provision.
- Effectively manage self and in collaboration with Clinical Nurse Educators and Nurse Unit Manager, develop clinical staff to enable fulfilment of clinical role responsibilities.
- Provide effective communication, consultation and negotiation with other menbers of the Palliative Care Service to ensure the relevant involvement of internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead and coordinate quality improvement and evidence-based nursing practice activities to ensure the provision of quality, cost-effective nursing services.
