Operations & Customer Service Officer (Freight Forwarding)
Key Responsibilities:
- Shipment Monitoring: Coordinate, book, and track international air and sea freight shipments (import/export).
- Documentation: Prepare and process essential shipping documents, including House Bills of Lading (HBL), manifests, pre-alerts, and shipping instructions.
- Customer & Agent Relations: Serve as the main point of contact for local clients and overseas agents; provide timely tracking updates and Proof of Delivery (POD).
- Customs Coordination: Work closely with customs brokers to monitor clearance progress, verify tariff classifications, and ensure adherence to BOC/PEZA rules.
- Basic Finance: Review billing invoices from forwarding agents/brokers and prepare accurate billing for clients.
Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate of BS Customs Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- License: Being a Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) is a significant advantage.
- Experience: 1 - 2 years of solid experience in international freight forwarding (handling both sea and air operations).
- Technical Skills: Proficient in electronic lodgments (VASP systems), manifest systems, and MS Excel/Word.
- Core Competencies: Strong multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced environment, good understanding of customs duties/taxes, and excellent communication skills for local and international coordination.
