Job Summary
The Inventory Officer is responsible for overseeing and maintaining the accuracy of the company's inventory records. The role ensures proper monitoring of raw materials, packaging materials, finished goods, and other warehouse stocks by conducting regular inventory reconciliation, maintaining inventory documentation, and coordinating with Warehouse, Production, Purchasing, and other departments to ensure inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records for raw materials, packaging materials, finished goods, and other warehouse stocks.
- Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and annual inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Reconcile physical inventory with system records and investigate inventory discrepancies.
- Prepare and submit inventory reports to Management on a timely basis.
- Ensure proper documentation of all inventory transactions, including receipts, issuances, transfers, adjustments, and returns.
- Coordinate with the Warehouse, Purchasing, Production, and Quality Assurance departments regarding inventory movement and stock availability.
- Monitor stock levels and recommend replenishment to prevent stock shortages or overstocking.
- Verify the accuracy of receiving and issuance documents before updating inventory records.
- Monitor slow-moving, aging, damaged, and expired inventory and recommend appropriate action.
- Maintain organized inventory files and records in both physical and electronic formats.
- Ensure compliance with company inventory policies, warehouse procedures, and internal controls.
- Assist during internal and external inventory audits.
- Identify opportunities to improve inventory control processes and warehouse efficiency.
- Perform other duties that may be assigned by Management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Accountancy, or any related field.
- At least 1–2 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or a related position.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is an advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and inventory management systems or ERP software.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Honest, reliable, and able to maintain confidentiality of inventory records.

Working Conditions
- Primarily works in both warehouse and office environments.
- May be required to conduct physical inventory counts in storage areas.
