Key Responsibilities
- Supervision: Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and guide staff (accountants/clerks).
- Financial Reporting: Assist with the preparation of monthly balance sheets, income statements, and financial reports.
- Reconciliations: Perform bank reconciliations, vendor statement reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
- Transactional Accuracy: Review AP/AR, payroll, vendor payments, and expense reports for compliance and accuracy.
- Compliance & Audits: Assist with internal/external audits and ensure compliance with tax regulations (e.g., VAT, BIR) and accounting policies.
- Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks, improve workflows, and manage accounting software input.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or related field.
- Experience: Previous experience in accounting roles, typically with leadership or supervisory experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax compliance.
- Experience in inventory management and cost accounting is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).
- Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
