About the role

PT JCO Donuts & Coffee is seeking a Purchasing Supervisor (Food) to join our procurement team in Jakarta Barat. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient sourcing, procurement, and inventory management of food and related materials across our operations. As Purchasing Supervisor, you will oversee purchasing activities, manage supplier relationships, and ensure cost-effective procurement whilst maintaining the highest quality standards for our products. This role is integral to supporting our operational excellence and contributes directly to the success of our business.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee all food procurement activities, including sourcing, purchasing, and ordering of ingredient and supplies

  • Develop and maintain strong relationship with food supplier, negotiating contract and term to achieve optimal pricing and quality

  • Monitor inventory level and implement effective inventory management practice to minimise waste and ensure product availability

  • Prepare and analyse purchasing report, cost analyses, and budget forecast to support financial planning

  • Ensure compliance with food safety standard, quality specification, and regulatory requirements in all procurement process

  • Coordinate with operation, finance, R&D and team to understand purchasing requirements and deliver timely solution

  • Evaluate supplier performance and implement corrective action where necessary to maintain service quality

  • Supervise and mentor purchasing team member, providing guidance and training on procurement best practice

  • Manage purchase order, track delivery, and resolve any discrepancies or issues with supplier

  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement within the purchasing function


What we're looking for

  • Min 2-5 years of experience in purchasing, preferably within the food or FMCG industry

  • Strong knowledge of food sourcing, supplier management, and food safety standards (including HACCP and local food safety regulations)

  • Proven experience in cost analysis, budget management, and negotiation with supplier

  • Excellent organisational and time management skill with the ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Proficiency in procurement system ERP and Microsoft Office application (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skill to work effectively with internal teams and external supplier

  • Detail-oriented approach with a commitment to accuracy and quality in all procurement activities

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

  • Knowledge of Indonesian import/export regulation and local sourcing practices is advantageous

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field is preferred
