PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly) Repair Engineer

Responsibilities :

• Conduct defect analysis to identify faults such as shorts, open circuits, faulty ICs, and failed capacitors using diagnostic tools, schematics, and test equipment.

• Perform component rework, including precision soldering and desoldering of SMT and through-hole components to replace defective parts.

• Carry out testing and verification using multimeters, oscilloscopes, Automated Test Equipment (ATE), and other diagnostic tools to ensure repaired boards meet quality standards.

• Conduct root cause analysis to determine the reasons for component failures and recommend corrective and preventive actions.

• Maintain accurate repair documentation, including repair records, defect tracking, trend analysis, and reporting for production and quality teams.

• Lead and support repair technicians in troubleshooting, repair processes, and technical problem-solving.

• Ensure compliance with IPC standards and company quality requirements during repair and rework activities.

Requirements :

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in PCBA repair, electronics troubleshooting, or a related engineering role.

• Salary will be paid based on working experience and qualifications.

• Strong Technical Skills in Advanced micro-soldering and rework techniques / Reading and interpreting electronic schematics / Operating testing and diagnostic equipment, including oscilloscopes, thermal cameras, and multimeters.

• Familiarity with IPC standards related to PCB assembly, repair, and rework.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis.

• Experience leading or supervising repair technicians is an advantage.

• Multilingual Proficient in English, Bahasa Indonesia (Malay), and Mandarin to communicate with China-based suppliers/customers and Indonesian staff.
