Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Regulatory Compliance
- Oversee the company’s full accounting operations, including general ledger management, financial reporting, treasury, and reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS), BSP regulations, BIR requirements, and other statutory obligations
- Prepare and submit accurate and timely regulatory reports, including BSP and tax-related filings
- Lead month-end and year-end closing activities and ensure financial data integrity
- Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors, tax consultants, and BSP examinations
Process Improvement & Internal Controls
- Review and optimize finance workflows to eliminate inefficiencies and reduce manual processes
- Develop and implement strong internal controls, risk management measures, and segregation of duties
- Create, update, and standardize finance policies, procedures, and SOPs
- Ensure audit readiness and proper documentation of all financial transactions and processes
Digital Transformation & Systems Management
- Lead ERP implementation projects and finance systems integration initiatives
- Drive automation projects to improve reporting accuracy, operational efficiency, and turnaround times
- Collaborate with IT and data teams to develop real-time dashboards and financial analytics tools
- Support the organization’s transition toward paperless and cloud-based finance operations
- Evaluate and recommend financial technologies and tools that enhance scalability and compliance
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Manage and mentor finance and accounting team members
- Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to management
- Partner with cross-functional teams to support business growth and operational goals
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and innovation within the finance team
Qualifications
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is required
- At least 7 years of progressive experience in accounting, finance, compliance, or audit roles
- With managerial or team leadership experience
- Strong background in BSP compliance, regulatory reporting, and financial operations within financial services, fintech, banking, or NBFI environments is highly preferred
- Experience in ERP implementation, finance automation, or digital transformation projects is an advantage
- Knowledgeable in PFRS, taxation, internal controls, and audit processes
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Able to work in a fast-paced and highly regulated environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in fintech, digital payments, lending, or financial institutions
- Exposure to business intelligence tools and data visualization platforms
- Familiarity with cloud-based finance systems and workflow automation tools
- Proven track record in improving operational efficiency and implementing scalable finance processes
