Role Description
This is a full-time, hybrid Junior Business Development Representative role based in the Jakarta Metropolitan Area, with flexibility for some work from home. The Junior BDR will identify and qualify new business opportunities through outbound outreach, inbound lead follow-up, and targeted prospecting across digital channels. This role will engage potential customers via calls, messages (including WhatsApp), emails, and social platforms to understand their needs and introduce Covena AI’s solutions. The Junior BDR will maintain an organized pipeline in the CRM, schedule product demos for senior sales team members, and support them with relevant account research and meeting preparation. The role will also involve collaborating closely with marketing and product teams to refine outreach messaging, share customer feedback, and contribute to continuous improvement of sales processes.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Sales and Business Development, with motivation to build a career in B2B SaaS or technology-driven solutions.
Experience or demonstrated interest in Inside Sales and Lead Generation, including prospecting, qualifying leads, and managing a basic sales pipeline.
Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage clearly and professionally across phone, WhatsApp, email, and video calls.
Comfort using CRM or sales tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar) and basic proficiency in productivity tools such as spreadsheets and presentation software.
Fluency in English and Indonesian (Bahasa Indonesia), with the ability to communicate business value to a variety of stakeholders.
Self-driven, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment with hybrid in-office and remote collaboration.
Previous internship or 1–2 years of experience in sales, customer success, or business development is preferred but not strictly required; a strong learning mindset is essential.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
