About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team on a full-time basis in South Jakarta, Jakarta. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for identifying, cultivating, and promoting new business opportunities that drive the growth and expansion of PT SINO INDONESIA TCM COOPERATION CENTRE. As Business Development Manager, you will play a strategic role in developing partnerships, expanding our market presence, and establishing new revenue streams within the healthcare and wellness sectors. This position offers the opportunity to shape the future direction of our organisation whilst building meaningful relationships with key stakeholders and clients.

What you'll be doing

  1. Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, market segments, and geographic regions for expansion within the TCM and healthcare sectors

  2. Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to achieve revenue targets and organisational growth objectives

  3. Build and maintain strong relationships with potential clients, partners, healthcare institutions, and key decision-makers

  4. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform strategic planning and opportunity assessment

  5. Prepare and deliver persuasive proposals, presentations, and pitches to prospective partners and clients

  6. Negotiate and conclude commercial agreements and partnership contracts with new business partners

  7. Collaborate with internal teams including operations, marketing, and management to ensure successful implementation of new business initiatives

  8. Monitor and analyse business development metrics, sales pipelines, and performance indicators to track progress against targets

  9. Represent the organisation at industry events, conferences, and networking functions to build brand awareness and generate leads

  10. Report regularly on business development activities, market insights, and strategic recommendations to senior management


What we're looking for

  1. Proven track record of minimum 3–5 years of professional experience in new business development, sales, or similar roles within healthcare, wellness, medical instruments, pharmaceuticals or related industries

  2. Strong understanding of the healthcare sector, preferably with experience in traditional medicine, complementary health, or wellness services

  3. Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills with the ability to establish trust with diverse stakeholders

  4. Having resources in local private or public hospitals in Indonesia is preferred.

  5. Language skills: CHINESE AND ENGLISH

  6. Driving skill is a plus.

  7. Demonstrated ability to identify market opportunities and develop strategic initiatives that drive business growth

  8. Strong negotiation and commercial acumen with experience in closing deals and concluding partnerships

  9. Fluency in both English and Indonesian (or Mandarin Chinese) is highly desirable

  10. Self-motivated and results-oriented approach with proven ability to work independently and meet ambitious targets

  11. Excellent communication, presentation, and report-writing skills

  12. Knowledge of the Indonesian market and preferably experience in Sino-Indonesian business relations

  13. Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Marketing, or a related discipline
