Sinohydro Foundation Engineering Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of POWERCHINA Group, we are recruiting qualified Indonesian professionals for the Site Preparation Works of the Genting West Papua FLNG Midstream Project in Indonesia.
The project is located in Bintuni, West Papua. The scope of work includes earthworks and subsequent camp construction works, covering civil and structural works, building works, steel structures, roads and drainage, water supply and wastewater systems, power supply and distribution, mechanical and electrical installation, communication and security systems, outdoor landscape works, and other supporting works required for project implementation and camp operation.
To support project implementation and strengthen local site management, we are now hiring for the following key positions:

2. HSE Manager (Health, Safety, Environment Management)
I. Job Description
HSE Manager (Safety Manager)
Working Location: Teluk Bintuni, West Papua, Indonesia
Position Nature: One of the primary management positions for project work safety, long-term on-site presence
Job Responsibilities
1. Lead and manage the overall HSE function of the project, taking responsibility for HSE planning, site safety control, environmental management, risk assessment, permit-to-work management, emergency preparedness, incident reporting and investigation, HSE training, inspections, and follow-up on corrective notification to site. As to ensure that all project activities are carried out in compliance with applicable laws, project requirements, and company HSE standards;
2. Organize daily safety inspections, and check the safety conditions of on-site personnel, mechanical equipment, temporary electricity installation, hazardous work, hoisting operations, hot work, etc.;
3. Conduct safety training, pre-shift safety meetings, safety briefings and entry safety education for new employees;
4. Manage high-risk work permits and job safety analysis during construction operations;
5. Follow up on the rectification of on-site safety hazards, record rectification status, and promptly report to project management;
6. Assist in handling safety incidents, near-miss incidents and violations, and implement corrective and preventive measures;
7. Organize safety inspection records, training records, work permits, rectification records and HSE monthly reports;
8. Assist Chinese personnel in handling project-related issues and following up on relevant work arrangements and management requirements.
Job Requirements
1. Graduated from safety engineering, civil engineering, engineering management or related majors;
2. Over 5 years of on-site engineering safety management experience, experience in large-scale Indonesian projects or remote area projects is preferred, particularly those involving earthwork, foundation, infrastructure and building construction.
3. Familiar with Indonesian K3 safety requirements, holders of Ahli K3 Umum, K3 Konstruksi or relevant safety certificates are needed;
4. Familiar with the management of hazardous work, hoisting operations, hot work, temporary electricity use, mechanical equipment and traffic safety;
5. Able to strictly enforce on-site safety regulations, stop violations promptly and drive rectification;
6. Have good on-site and inter-departmental communication, coordination and documentation capabilities;
7. Proficient in English, capability in Mandarin is preferred (please show on CV.);
8. Willing to accept long-term on-site work in Bintuni, West Papua.
II. General Requirements
1. In good health and able to adapt to long-term on-site work in the remote area of Bintuni, West Papua, Indonesia;
2. Possess strong on-site management capabilities, communication and coordination skills, and problem-solving abilities;
3. Rigorous work attitude and strong sense of responsibility;
4. Working experience in Chinese companies or Chinese-funded enterprise projects is preferred;
5. Proficient in using Office, AutoCAD, Project or Primavera P6 and other office and project management software is preferred. Candidate must bring personal laptop or other gadget sufficient for necessary works.
6. Able to use English as the working language, proficiency in Mandarion (spoken or written, better both) is preferred;
7. No record of major safety or quality liability accidents;
8. Interview arrangements: Online interview through WA and call (offline interview available in Jakarta), formal session after initial screening;
9. Able to conduct medical check up with item required by project matrix at once after confirming offer, preferably candidate that's ready to be mobilized in 10 days.
III. Compensation and Benefits
1. Salary standard set as shown in the post, partially negotiable based on the candidate's experience, abilities, certificates and position matching degree;
2. Salary composed of basic salary and on-site subsidies at a 50%-50% ratio.
2. The company provides accommodation and meals at the project site, travel coverage for mobilization and regulated leave per 5 consecutive months of work;
3. Work uniforms and PPE provided.
4. BPJS coverage per company regulation and related legislation. PPh 21/income tax borne by employee individually.
