Commissioning Engineer & Administration

Main Responsibilities

• Coordinate with technicians regarding commissioning schedules, manpower preparation, tools, materials, site access, safety requirements, and work readiness.

• Prepare commissioning schedules, work plans, checklists, and testing procedures based on project requirements.

• Review project documents such as drawings, equipment schedules, control diagrams, wiring diagrams, method statements, sequence of operation, and technical manuals.

• Conduct site readiness checks before commissioning, including installation condition, electrical connection, piping, ducting, control wiring, safety devices, and access requirements.

• Supervise and support technicians during pre-commissioning, start-up, testing, adjustment, balancing support, functional testing, and commissioning activities.

• Perform basic troubleshooting for HVAC equipment, electrical control, sensors, actuators, control panels, and BMS/control interface issues.

• Coordinate with internal project team, service team, customer, consultant, contractor, vendor, and subcontractor to resolve site issues.

• Ensure commissioning activities are performed according to approved procedures, project specifications, safety requirements, and company quality standards.

• Monitor commissioning progress and report daily/weekly status, pending issues, risks, and required actions to the Service Operation Manager.

• Prepare and maintain commissioning documentation, including checklist, inspection record, test report, punch list, issue log, and final commissioning report.

• Follow up and close outstanding punch list items related to commissioning scope.

• Support customer witness testing, system demonstration, training, and handover process.

• Ensure all technical findings are properly recorded with clear evidence, action plan, and recommendation.

• Maintain good communication with site teams and ensure all works are completed safely, professionally, and on schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Mechatronics, or related technical field.

• Strong English communication skill is mandatory, both written and verbal.

• Preferably has experience in HVAC system, MEP project, service operation, testing & commissioning, or project coordination.

• Preferably has experience coordinating technicians, subcontractors, vendors, or site teams.

• Basic knowledge of HVAC equipment such as chiller, AHU, FCU, pump, cooling tower, ventilation system, VRF/VRV, and control system.

• Basic knowledge of control system, electrical control, sensor, actuator, control panel, sequence of operation, and BMS interface.

• Able to read and understand technical drawings, wiring diagrams, control diagrams, manuals, datasheets, and project specifications.

• Good troubleshooting, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

• Able to prepare technical reports, commissioning documents, and professional correspondence.

• Good coordination, communication, and follow-up skills.

• Able to work under pressure, meet project deadlines, and adapt to site conditions.

• Willing to work at project sites within Jakarta and other locations if required.
