What You’ll Do
- Lead, supervise, and develop the accounting team.
- Improve accounting processes, systems, and work procedures.
- Manage payment requests, vendor payments, reimbursements, and employee loans.
- Ensure all transactions are properly recorded in QuickBooks.
- Monitor revenue, expenses, costs, payroll, and cash flow.
- Prepare monthly, annual, and year-end financial statements.
- Lead the annual budgeting process and provide budget variance reports.
- Manage bank reconciliations, bank balances, and cash flow forecasts.
- Ensure the books are closed accurately and on time.
- Oversee payroll reporting and disbursement schedules.
- Ensure compliance with BIR, DOLE, SEC, and other government requirements.
- Manage tax filings, statutory remittances, permits, and licenses.
- Lead the preparation and submission of audited financial statements.
- Establish internal controls to protect company assets and prevent fraud.
- Prepare for internal and external audits and resolve audit findings.
- Identify financial risks and recommend solutions.
- Find ways to reduce costs without affecting service quality.
- Introduce automation and digital tools to reduce errors and manual work.
- Work with department heads to improve financial processes across the business.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy.
- At least 4 years of progressive accounting experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in an accounting controllership role.
- Strong knowledge of Philippine Financial Reporting Standards, BIR regulations, and Philippine corporate law.
- Advanced QuickBooks experience, including account reconciliation.
- Advanced skills in Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong English communication and problem-solving skills.
- Strategic, organized, and detail-oriented.
