Key Responsibilities
· Manage all quantity surveying activities from project planning to completion.
· Prepare and review project budgets, cost estimates, and Bills of Quantities (BOQ)/RAB .
· Lead the tendering process, including bid evaluation and contract negotiations.
· Review and administer contracts with clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors.
· Monitor project costs, cash flow, and budget performance.
· Prepare monthly cost reports and financial forecasts.
· Evaluate and manage variation orders, claims, and final accounts.
· Verify subcontractor progress claims and payment certificates.
· Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining project quality.
· Ensure compliance with contract terms, company policies, and relevant regulations.
· Lead, mentor, and develop the QS team.
· Coordinate with Project Managers, Procurement, Engineering, Finance, and other stakeholders.
· Support dispute resolution and commercial risk management.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architect or related field.
8–12 years of experience in quantity surveying or commercial management.
Minimum 3–5 years in a managerial position.
Strong knowledge of FIDIC or other standard construction contracts.
Proficient in cost estimation, BOQ preparation, and contract administration.
Excellent negotiation, analytical, and leadership skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and QS/ERP software (e.g., CostX, Candy, SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).
Good command of English; Mandarin is an advantage for Chinese-invested companies.
