Assistant Factory Manager

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Factory Manager to join PT Procarre International Indonesia on a full-time basis. This role is based in Bitung, Cikupa, Banten, and offers an exciting opportunity to support the management of factory operations whilst contributing to the strategic objectives of our manufacturing facility. As Assistant Factory Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring efficient production planning, scheduling, and operational excellence across the factory. This position bridges senior management and operational teams, providing essential support in coordinating daily activities, monitoring productivity, and maintaining compliance with established standards.

Key responsibilities

1. Support the Factory Manager in overseeing daily manufacturing operations and ensuring production targets are met on schedule

2. Assist in production planning and scheduling to optimise resource allocation and minimise downtime

3. Monitor production activities and maintain accurate records of output, quality metrics, and operational performance

4. Coordinate with various departments including production, quality control, maintenance, and logistics to ensure seamless workflow

5. Conduct regular inspections of production areas to ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards

6. Support the implementation and management of continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing practices

7. Assist in staff training, supervision, and performance management of production team members

8. Prepare operational reports and provide analysis on production performance, bottlenecks, and efficiency metrics

9. Respond to operational challenges and implement corrective actions to maintain production efficiency

What we're looking for

1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Manufacturing Management or a related discipline

2. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing operations, production planning, or factory management

3. Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks

4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams

5. Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to operational challenges

6. Knowledge of manufacturing compliance, safety regulations, and quality standards

7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

8. Fluency in Indonesian and English is essential; additional languages are advantageous

9. Experience in medical device factory is preferable
