About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Counter Staff / Ticketing Staff in Batam, Riau Islands. This is a full-time position based at the Harbour Bay Batam International Port, where you will be at the forefront of our guest experience, managing ticket sales, reservations, and customer interactions with professionalism and warmth. This role is vital to our operations, as you will be responsible for ensuring smooth transactions and creating positive first impressions for our guests and clients.
What you'll be doing :
Processing ticket sales and reservations accurately and efficiently using our booking systems
Assisting guests with enquiries regarding available services, pricing, and booking options
Handling cash, card payments, and other payment methods whilst maintaining accurate records
Providing exceptional customer service by addressing guest concerns and resolving issues professionally
Maintaining a clean and organised counter area that reflects our commitment to quality
What we're looking for :
High school diploma or equivalent qualification
Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, reservations or a similar ticketing environment
Proficiency in using computer systems and booking software, with strong typing skills
Excellent communication skills in English and Indonesian; additional languages are beneficial
Strong numerical skills and accuracy when handling transactions and records
Ability to remain calm and courteous when dealing with challenging situations
Outstanding organisational skills and attention to detail
A genuine passion for hospitality and commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
Reliability, punctuality, and a professional appearance
Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays
