About the role
PT Lock & Lock Indonesia is seeking an experienced Export Import Staff to join our team. This role is based in South Jakarta and is fundamental to our supply chain operations. As Export Import Staff, you will be responsible for managing the critical processes involved in international trade, ensuring compliance with customs regulations, and maintaining smooth logistics operations. This position plays a vital role in supporting our company's growth and global trade objectives.
Responsibilities:
Process and prepare import documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and customs documents
Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and shipping agents to ensure timely customs clearance and delivery
Ensure all import activities comply with customs regulations and company requirements
Prepare and submit import declarations and supporting documents to the relevant authorities
Monitor import shipments and resolve any shipping or customs clearance issues
Coordinate with Procurement, Warehouse, and Sales teams to ensure smooth import operations.
Maintain accurate records of import transactions and related documentation
Monitor import duties, taxes, and shipping costs, and support cost optimization
Respond to customs inquiries and provide required documents when needed
Stay updated on import regulations and customs procedures
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
Minimum 3 years of proven experience in a related role, preferably in export and import operations, customs, or international logistics
Strong knowledge of customs regulations, tariff codes, and international trade compliance requirements
Proficiency in relevant customs software systems and documentation management tools
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously
Attention to detail and accuracy in completing documentation and data entry
Strong communication and coordination skills to work effectively with external agencies and internal teams
Problem-solving ability to resolve customs clearance issues
Relevant certification or training in customs procedures is advantageous
Experience with warehouse management systems and shipping software is preferred
Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, is a must
