We are currently seeking 2 (two) highly competent Maritime Leaders to bridge our fleet operations with top management, each bringing a complementary set of expertise: 1 Manager with a Deck background (ANT 1) and 1 Manager with an Engineering background (ATT 1).
As a Vessel Controller Manager, you will hold a critical strategic role as the Designated Person Ashore (DPA), serving as the direct link between the fleet and the Board of Directors. You will hold full accountability for safety standardization, cutting-edge regulatory compliance, and macro-level technical and operational efficiency, ensuring that the Safety Management System (SMS) is uncompromised across the entire fleet.
Key ResponsibilitiesHSE, Audit & Global Compliance: Direct the implementation of HSE aspects and marine pollution prevention. Lead and oversee the follow-up of all major audits (Internal/External Audits, Flag State, Port State, P&I), ensuring that Corrective & Preventive Actions for any non-conformities are executed thoroughly.
Strategic Risk Management & Inspections: Schedule and evaluate critical surveys and inspections (pre-docking, last docking, and ad-hoc visits). Control seaworthiness, lead formal incident investigations (Root Cause Analysis), and formulate long-term risk mitigation strategies.
Technical Optimization & Operational Synergy: Regularly evaluate fleet technical performance, ensure the Planned Maintenance System (PMS) aligns with efficiency parameters, analyze critical machinery failures (Main/Aux Engine, cargo gear), and bridge tactical coordination between Technical and Operational Departments.
Leadership, Quality Training & Governance: Lead the familiarization process for Key Officers (Master, Chief Mate, Chief Engineer, Second Engineer). Direct and supervise shore-based support teams (KPI Staff/DPA Supervisors) and report monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and Quality Objectives directly to the Board.
Highest Certification: Must possess a Certificate of Competency as Master Mariner (ANT 1) for the Deck Specialist, or Chief Engineer (ATT 1) for the Technical Specialist.
Managerial Experience: Proven track record as a former Master or Chief Engineer on commercial vessels, or at least 3–5 years of shore-based managerial experience (DPA / Port Captain / Port Engineer / Marine Superintendent).
Official Credentials: Possess a formal DPA (Designated Person Ashore) certificate recognized internationally under the ISM Code.
Regulatory Mastery: Comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of the ISM Code, ISPS Code, SOLAS, MARPOL, and all relevant national and international maritime regulations.
Leadership Competence: Strong leadership presence, assertive communication skills, an analytical approach to problem-solving, and a proven ability to make crucial decisions under high pressure.
High Mobility: Willing to travel for field inspections and vessel/shipyard visits on a dynamic schedule.
